Angelina the singer-Songwriter
17 year old Angelina is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a deep-rooted passion for music and years of writing and performing under her belt. Her latest tracks weave together a unique blend of genres, referencing alt-pop, indie, and soul, evoking the styles of Lizzy McAlpine, Hozier, Chappell Roan and Olivia Rodrigo. Her lyrics are introspective and metaphorical, delivered with a powerful yet angelic voice, often with Angelina’s signature lyrical monologues creating a unique conversational yet intimate musical connection with her audience. A top 8 finalist on Australian Idol at 15 years old, this WAM award winning artist and multi-year finalist has also been a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and is making waves amongst the Perth music scene. Her new songs feature in several current and upcoming Australian films, blending together her screen acting and music worlds.
Australian Idol: Finishing in Top 8 in 2023 Angelina took her piano-centric performances to a new level with the help of great production and industry experts behind the show. International Songwriting Competition: Angelina's upcoming release 'Stereo' is a semi-finalist in the acclaimed International Songwriting Competition (Teen category) out of Nashville USA, as was her 2023 release 'Chaos'.
WAM Awards: Angelina won Song of the Year in the youth category at just 14 years old for her anthem-style piano ballad Old Land's Tale and has been a finalist every year since aged 11.
Discography: Danny Blue has 243,000 streams on Spotify at the time of writing, and Chaos has 191,000 streams. Together with Angelina's previous releases, Rescue Me, Heart On My Sleeve, Old Land's Tale, Reflections, and Fire Between she has amassed over 550k streams just on Spotify. * Angelina has performed live in front of an audience of 12k at Perth's RAC Arena and live on TV for an audiences of 1 million during Australian Idol. * She wrote her first song Fire Between at 10 years old, recorded it at home, and it earned her first Song Of The Year nomination. She wrote this on guitar, a week after picking up a guitar.* Angelina's first live TV performance was on Perth's beloved Telethon.* Angelina won Harry Connick Jr's only 'Touchdown' to fast-track her into the Top 12 of Australian Idol 2023. Angelina the actor
Angelina is also an accomplished screen and stage actor known for her lead role portrayal of orphan Ellie in West Australian indie feature film Cheurbhead in 2021/22 and for starring alongside Hollywood’s Kate Walsh in headline theatre production Mary Stuart at the 2022 Perth Festival. For Cherubhead, Angelina was nominated for Best Actress Oceania region at the European Septimius Film Awards 2022 alongside esteemed Australian actor Heather Mitchell. She has starred in nearly a dozen short films including My Mum is a Witch, Get a Job Ya Bum, Static, Strayed, Clear Grey Skies and many student short films. Beyond her professional theatre debut in Mary Stuart, she has starred in Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Legally Blonde, and What a Knight. She also features in multiple commercials in Australia including Crown Resorts, Greyhounds WA, RAC, and City of Perth. In 2024, she will star as troubled teen Lyric in the film Silent Songbird.
