Meet Angelina
Australian-British Angelina is carving out a distinct space in Australia's indie music scene. A top 8 finalist on Australian Idol at just 15 and a WAM Song of the Year winner, she’s rapidly gaining recognition as one of the country’s most compelling emerging artists. A singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, her music fuses alt-pop, indie rock, shoegaze, and soul—earning her comparisons to rising Australian talents like Hatchie and Esha Tewari. With over half a million Spotify streams, performances at RAC Arena and national television appearances, Angelina’s reach extends beyond the stage. Her songs feature in current and upcoming Australian films, seamlessly blending her worlds of music and screen acting. Inspired by artists such as Lizzy McAlpine (5 Seconds Flat), Hozier, Radiohead, and SOMBR, she crafts intricate, introspective lyrics, delivered with a powerful yet angelic voice. Known for her signature lyrical monologues in her latest unreleased tracks, Angelina’s live performances create an intimate, almost conversational connection with her audience—solidifying her status as an artist to watch.
Angelina is also a well regarded actor, known for starring on stage alongside Kate Walsh (international stage and screen star) in 'Mary Stuart', the headline play of Perth Festival 2022 at the age of 14. During a Covid-affected 2021, she also filmed the lead role in 2022 indie feature film, Cherubhead, for which she received a Best Actress nomination in Europe's Septimius Film Awards.
Angelina is a semi-finalist of the reknowned International Songwriting Competition in both 2023 (for 'Chaos') and 2024 (for 'Stereo') and at the age of 14 was also a winner of Song of the Year in the West Australian Music awards Youth category. She has been a finalist for 7 years, all before she turns 18 years old.
In addition to performing live on Australian Idol to a television audience of nearly 1 million, she opened at the RAC Arena in Perth for the One Big Voice festival with an audience of 12,000 and performed as a solo act live on Channel 7's Telethon TV broadcast in both 2023 and 2021. Angelina's tracks on Spotify have amassed over 555k streams and she has scores of unreleased tracks ready to share if/when the time is right.
